| Alternate-drag - on a slider—to increment the slider value by some preset small amount. Shift-Alternate-drag cuts the slider increment in half and changes the text field format from integer to real (if appropriate). Command-Shift-Alternate drag cuts the slider increment in half again. - when creating and resizing a graphic object - to constrain the sizing of the object to proportional sizing. - on a graphic object - to constrain the movement of that object in a window to a purely horizontal or vertical movement, depending on in which direction the movement was initiated. - in a document window (not on an object) - to require that objects be completely enclosed in the resulting selection rectangle in order to be selected.
