Hints for getting started

Create has detailed on-line help; choose Help from the Main menu (Command-?), or, Help-Click on a control, tool or window to get context sensitive help.

See Chapter 5 for a description of all the menu commands.

If you don't like the change you just made to your
Create image, choose Undo (Command-z) from the Edit menu. You can undo and redo as many times as you like - see Preferences for setting the number of levels of undo.

Try holding down the Alternate/Option key when dragging out a tool graphic. Many objects have unique effects when this key is held down as you drag the image out.

Look at the
Art menu if you'd like to see some example Create images. Click on any of these items to load them into your open Create document. Many of these images can be ungrouped into a few smaller images. (Most complex graphic objects have more than one applicable inspector.) Load the checked effects inspectors to see what settings were used to create these images. Then, try to recreate some of the effects used in these images in images of your own.
