Create File Formats

Create can open and save document and images in a number of different file formats. You can save an entire Create document in Create format, or you can save the document or selected images to a special Create image format, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, GIF, or PNG. You will normally be saving documents in the standard Create format by using the standard Save command. Save selected images as a Create image when you want to either include them in the My Art menu (see Chapter 5) or if you want to save images that can later be fully editable but that are in a more condensed form than a whole Create document that would contain that image. Create images can be loaded into an open Create document by dragging them from the File Viewer directly into an open Create document, or through the Open Image command in the File menu.



Create Files

When you Save a document in Create, it is saved to a Create format. Documents of this type can be opened by double clicking on them in the File Viewer or through the Open command in the File menu. Standard Create files have a .create extension in their file name.

Create Images

Create Image documents contain a .createImage extension in their file names. They have the following advantages over standard Create documents:
