Shadow Inspector
The Shadow inspector allows you to create a single shadow for your object. You control the direction and length of the shadow by moving the light source relative to your object. You can also determine the shadow's color and its offset above or below the object.

Position: Drag the light source around the Shadow controller until you're satisfied with the shadow's direction and length. You are not constrained by the size of the controller; if you want a longer shadow, drag the cursor out of the controller rectangle.
Shadow Offset: When this control is not selected, you get a default shadow without any offset. You can offset the shadow from the baseline of the object by checking the Shadow Offset controller. A negative offset moves the shadow below the baseline, while a positive offset moves the shadow above the baseline.
Color: Click on the color well to set the color of the shadow. This brings up the Rhapsody color panel. you can either set the color of the shadow using Rhapsody color technique, or you can drop a color from the color panel into the shadow. For more information on the methods for coloring objects, please see Colors in Chapter 6.
Top/Bottom Copy: The Top/Bottom Copy button works only when the shadow effect is used in conjunction with the Multiple effect. This button determines whether the shadow extends from the top or the bottom image.
